Here's a quick change I just made on my Profile.
I switched from Constant Contact to iContact (because a friend worked there - he doesn't anymore), and finally just moved my "newsletter" to my LinkedIn Group (where I can send an "announcement" every 8 days).
So, I had to update the link ...

Yesterday I posted about some spam I am getting - four by mid-afternoon yesterday - ugh!
Here's something I noticed... since I have a somewhat zero-tolerance policy on slimeball spammers, I go in and look for the connection to "remove"... One was from Alex V. Lambert (my apologies to anyone named ...

I'm getting more LinkedIn spam through direct messages. It's dissappointing because it hasn't been very common.
Here's how this spammer started - it looks like they have a program to extract my title and other general information from my Profile, and marry it to a template message (the rest is as ...

Last week I was in the Boston area doing some presentations and a teacher came up and said something like "it sounds like a lot of what you are talking about is for professionals, but I'm a teacher... should I be on LinkedIn?"
My first thought was "isn't a teacher a ...

On a LinkedIn Group I saw a message that indicated LinkedIn is reducing free account services (AGAIN)... this time it's a really big reduction.

I use LinkedIn to keep track of my professional network, and would like to add you.
I hate this, for two reasons.
First, no one uses LinkedIn to "keep track of their professional network," just by adding someone.
If you add me to your network, how do ...

There are a thousand ways to do it right and a thousand ways to do it wrong. I wanted to share some thoughts from one I got this morning. This comes from Carol to one of my second degree contacts:
My question there is.... what next? If I'm Dan, what do ...

David asks:
What is your opinion about the efficacy of being an open networker (LION)? Is there a downside?
Good question. In "fairness" to the guy who says he came up with "LION," let me distinguish between those who call themselves LIONs with no regard for him coming up with it, or ...

I hate getting crap email, especially from LinkedIn connections.
I just got this:
I want to be able to do two things from here:
Mark as spam. On Twitter I can flag as spam AND block the contact. Would be great to do that from here.
Remove the Connection. The process now ...
