I'm a member of a lot of groups... almost 50 (which is the limit). Some of them are awesome, others are beyond useless.
One, in particular, ONLY has discussion spam. So I went to the Group page to get out - no more spam from them and I free up one ...

Short answer: yes.
It might not be as easy as you think, especially if you are looking for easy money, or passive revenue. Don't use LinkedIn as the only tool to sell your $47 product... you'll have to sell a lot to make any real money, and to sell a lot ...

LinkedIn emailed all Groups owners last week saying that there is a new feature, akin to a newsletter for the Group owner: LinkedIn Group Announcements. This is pretty cool, as it allows me as a Group owner to actually send a message to all Group members.
Did I say "pretty cool?" ...

Here's something I discovered on LinkedIn Group Discussions... when you leave a discussion comment, you can put your URL in and have it converted to a hyperlink. So, if you put your email signature in, like this:
