I don’t go by my first name, I go by my middle name. If you call me by my first name I know you got my name from some government list or something like that. You immediately disqualify yourself from being legit if you don’t call me Jason.
Could be the same issue with the Peters and Josephs of the world, right? How do you know how to address them so you don’t immediately disqualify yourself?
The first place I check is their Recommendations on LinkedIn. That’s where I can see how people who supposedly know them address them.
That’s where I can see if I’m supposed to call you Peter or Pete.
Yes, this doesn’t matter to everyone, but if you address the wrong person the wrong way, that could be the end of your communication. Take a few minutes to do the research
