Own A Group? Make Sure Your Templates Are Right!

Here’s one of those “I’ll get around to it when I have time.”  In the meantime I’ve lost thousands of branding opportunities.

This week I started a new Group (my second) called the Veteran Transition Alliance.  I haven’t advertised it out yet, don’t even have a logo yet.

I do know that I want people to get some kind of introduction to the Group, though.  So I went to the Manage page and on the left clicked Templates.

Arg!  On my JibberJobber Career Management Group I didn’t have these set up!  I’ve literally missed THOUSANDS of branding opportunities!

Here’s what you want to do:

The first two you NEED to edit.  I have no idea why but when you edit it there is a checkbox – if you don’t check the checkbox then it won’t send it.  NO IDEA WHY.

I ignore the last two… templates.

Anyway, check the checkbox and save, and then when people request to join and when you approve them they get more of your branding.

Now, I need to hustle over to my JibberJobber Group and fix that up!
