Can Clients Find You On LinkedIn?

June 28th, 2012 | by Jason Alba |

This is a post for people who own their own business and hope prospects call them and buy stuff.

I have looked at about 300 LinkedIn Profiles in the last month.  I’m amazed at how hard people make it to get in touch with them.

From not putting up a URL/website to not providing a phone number or email address…

Listen, if you want someone to buy your services, hire you, etc., make it easy for them to do that!  Put easy contact information where it’s easy for them to find.

The best place I’ve seen for this is at the TOP or the BOTTOM of the LinkedIn Summary.

…same for job seekers who don’t list email/phone and restrict connections.

And nice to go in and actually rename the default web link to something more attractive.

I agree. I prefer to contact people directly. I don’t even know how to try to ask for introductions.

    Jason,
How can clients see your full profile–and recommendations–even if they’re not on LinkedIn?
    Thanks, Morty
