Why I Deleted My LinkedIn Profile Picture
February 16th, 2011 | by Jason Alba |I had to delete my LinkedIn Profile picture for two reasons:
- The one I had really brought out my balding head, since I cropped it right where the balding started, and it seemed I was trying to hide something. I had various people tell me that :p
- LinkedIn introduced a new “feature” a few months ago where people can have a BIGGER picture… if you go to someone’s LinkedIn Profile pic and mouse over it, you *might* see a little magnifying glass icon. Click on that and you’ll see the bigger picture.
By now you know I’m not taking a stand on whether you should have a picture or not (I think most everyone should), but I had to fix something done a long time ago.
So I deleted my picture (it was WEIRD to think my Profile would not have a picture for a few minutes!) and put up a bigger one. It was the same image, just a larger picture.
In the process I could “re-crop” and fix the balding issue… now, when you go to my Profile and mouse over the image you’ll see the big picture pop up — cool, huh?

Just a little tweak to make it a little better

Well what would be really really kool is if you could mouse over your little picture and have a really big picture of that other Alba pop up. Now that would be something to see. Bet you’d be a linkedin sensation. ROFL!
Yeah, I know I’m punchy and have no life. But it is funny. NO?
