Personal Branding for Geeks with the LinkedIn Summary

July 17th, 2009 | by Jason Alba |

Remember the LinkedIn Makeover I blogged about a couple of days ago?  Here’s a brilliant idea that you can now see on Clint’s LinkedIn Profile…remember, Clint is a programmer… a systems architect… a GEEK.

This is so cool – very on-brand in a humorous way:

If you are a programmer this speaks to your heart (and should get you to smile a little).

If you aren’t a programmer it should be pretty easy for you to see that IF you want to contact Clint you can do it by email or by phone or by any contact method in LinkedIn.

I LOVE THIS!

I think I remember enough BASIC to create this using IF/THEN statements.

No school like old school, baby :)

Seriously, this is a great way to “show, don’t tell”…well done Clint!

Waiting to see biologists provide their contact info encoded in molecular diagrams, or chemists in periodic table elements, etc…

    Jason,

You truly have an eye for catching these unique profiles! Branding yourself on your LinkedIn Profile is so important, and Clint shows us that there is no boundary to our creativity. Great stuff! As Robert wrote in the above comment, I can’t wait to see how others manifest their creative branding in their summaries ;-)
