Apparently we can now see last names on 3rd degree search results... which is a great move... and long overdue. But this new commercial use limit on search? They say: " If you reach the commercial use limit, your activity on LinkedIn indicates that you're likely using LinkedIn for commercial ...

I'm not sure if this is how it works, but it's the best idea I've seen: How Linkedin’s 'people we may know' feature is so accurate
Apparently the key is to always log out of LinkedIn... otherwise, they'll be able to mine your internet activity and make very interesting suggestions.
