Thea Kelley is a job coach I trust based out of San Francisco. She left a comment on my JibberJobber post last week pointing to a post she recently wrote on how to build your list of target companiesk using LinkedIn. It’s a great post - check it out here.
In my response to Thea, I said the thing she was missing in her post was to say to track all this stuff (companies, contacts, conversations, follow-up, etc.) using JibberJobber.
- Build your list.
- Talk to people.
- Nurture relationships.
- Track it all in JibberJobber.
Missing one of those four? Go back and do it again!

Yes, a good job search involves a lot of business intelligence-gathering, and you’ve got to organize that information for ongoing use! Otherwise it’s overwhelming.
Jibberjobber is the only tool I know of designed just for this purpose. I recommend it. (And not a single kickback from Jason, to date! Jason?)

Thanks for the original post - it’s something I haven’t talked much about, and there are a couple of really good tricks in there
