You already know I think Endorsements are completely useless and a waste of effort. It is a way to get LinkedIn users to go back to the site so the marketers can say "we increased usage drastically - people are coming back in!"

I read that recruiter.com is positioning itself (intentionally or not) to compete head-to-head with LinkedIn.
If recruiter.com can get enough funding to really do this right, and get momentum, this can be really, really good for LinkedIn users.

I got a couple of spam messages last week and went to remove the connections. But when I went there, it didn't show these people as 1st degree contacts.
Here's the message I got, from two people who are both "Consultant ant Self Employed" and with stock images for their profile ...
