A few days ago LinkedIn announced what they are calling LinkedIn Endorsements.
Immediately I got emails asking what I thought. People are confused. So confused that on some email lists I'm on with career professionals some people (who definitely know their way around LinkedIn) thought it was a big scam from ...

Check out this Profile, which looks fake to me:
When I get the email from LinkedIn, I can "accept the invitation."
If I want to check out the person's page, I can "Accept invitation."
But what if I don't want to?
I would LOVE a link to IGNORE from the email AND from the ...

I have been asking a few questions on LinkedIn Answers recently. Here are three things on my wishlist that would make this a better tool for me. Note that I mostly want to manage this from my email inbox, not from the LinkedIn Answers page.

Check out this really interesting article on Forbes: LinkedIn is Disrupting the Corporate Recruiting Market
While it reads somewhat biased, the information is really interesting regarding LinkedIn's growth, finances (almost $1B in revenues this year? Companies are moving a lot of money away from you-know-who and putting it into LinkedIn), and ...

Irina Shamaeva is a recruiter, and a blogger on recruitingblogs.com. I really appreciate her posts. Here's one that makes a ton of sense: LinkedIn 3rd Level Connection Profile Visibility
Her caveat: "This is as of this morning and anything can change at any time, of course."
The problem: I can't see someone's ...

Here's a post by a recruiter on how to get around an annoying "you should upgrade! Yahoo!!!"
It is about how to see last names of people you find in a search.
Isn't that so annoying??
It's annoying recruiters, also!
And here is Irina's work-around. Last Names on LinkedIn
There are a lot of brick ...

When I blogged about this a while back someone said that it was awesome that there wasn't anymore Twitter noise on LinkedIn.
I thought it was a bad strategic move by Twitter. Here's a little more to the story: Reid Hoffman: LinkedIn Got Better When Twitter Shut Us Off, Move Was ...

I have had this up for a few days.
One thought is that if I put this up, I'm sure to have the mafia sent to my house to off me.
Another thought is that it is disrespectful to the person who put it up.
Alas, here it is... this image makes me ...
