How To Close An Answer In LinkedIn
January 26th, 2009 | by Jason Alba |I decided this year I’m going to be much better in closing my questions in LinkedIn Answers… here’s how I do it:
1. Click on Answers at the top of LinkedIn:

2. On the right you’ll see the questions you have asked, like this (I only have one – click on the one you are ready to close):
3. Choose the “good” answers. I mark all as “good” unless they are spammy. Even if I don’t agree with them, as long as they are on-topic, they add to the conversation. This is quite subjective, obviously.

4. Choose the BEST answer. This is pretty hard sometimes, as many people really put a lot of thought into their answer, and many answers are really, really good.

5. Write a note to the recipient of the best answer. I always put my email signature in here. I don’t write a long note, just something that says “thanks!”

If you have asked questions, go close them out! It’s the right thing to do, but it’s also a great way to reach out to someone and thank them for sharing and spending time on your answer!
